Hello everyone and welcome to Millennial Mayday where I will be discussing my journey of how I came to have roughly $200,000 in student loan debt and my goal of paying it off within 3 years.

A little bit about me: as the title of this blog has given away, I am a millennial, currently in my 20’s. I recently graduated from pharmacy school where I incurred the majority of my 6-figure debt. Now that I am entering the workforce, my #1 goal is to pay off my debt as soon as possible on my road to financial independence.

There are two reasons I started this blog. First and foremost, I wanted an outlet to put my plan to tackle my debt in writing to hold myself accountable. I personally love reading about other people’s spending habits, debt, and what they allocate their paychecks into, so I wanted to share mine.

Secondly, I also wanted to create a blog that others can use as a reference and a motivation to tackle their debt. So I will share the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way as I continue on my personal finance journey.

With that said, I hope that you will buckle up and enjoy this ride with me as I chronicle my journey to climbing out of $200,000 debt.
